The Discouraging College Discourses on Presidential Races aren't over yet!

I'm up in grounded but purposefully divided Humboldt County and, though I had held out hope for first Kucinich and then Ron Paul and back before the two-party system tried to take the control reigns back in this next plot. What I hope they didn't factor is the degree of fed-upness this public has and that they are informed enough and distrustful of this whole divided situation that will play back into the hands of old politics while promising to do otherwise. This primary season was purposefully dragged out, I only hope we could've realized the real reason for it sooner. We've been pigeon-holed to bicker forever, especially in the more all-around aware college environments. If we really are astute enough and and constantly informed and updated, why have we not waken up that even our enthusiasm for the promise of uncoerced policy is being used against us?! As far as the public is concerned now, we have a three-way race within a two-party system. Our best hope to break the entwined ways is to make it a generally multiple race to expose the one faction of the two establishment parties! Cynthia McKinney, the first African-American congresswoman in Georgia now taking on fraud Nader for the Green Party, came to our campus about three weeks ago and, along with local and state candidates, revived the political atmosphere in a hopelessly persistent apathy area. It's true that Nader destroyed the position of the Green Party and re-imposed the two factions of the megasystem, but now we have the perfect chance for a permanent perception changer! No more Ron Pauls or Kucinichs! It was a nice dream, a dream I was ALMOST willing to change my life for, but alas we need to stay more adaptable and find the best chance to bring the power back, that ain't it!!
Ron Paul needs to stay in the congress to hold the line, he should see that that's the only way to safegaurd the constitution given the yes-men only symbolically in the middle! He holds the line, Dr. No, that's where he needs to stay as long as possible! Sad, but true. If only Kucinich still had a term, but that's the way things roll this time around. This is a perception race, a perception race! If we can shatter perceptions of not just the paradigm of gender issues against race issues-- this party, that party as well of course, but nothting new there -- we have to run with our best chance there! It may not be the best thing to run as a Green regardless, but this is the one thing we can reclaim and change directly from the ground up! There are many ways to support a candidate and if there's one left that still has an actual viable chance to be real, it has to be McKinney! She's got the new momentum behind her if we can be adaptable enough to drop the Ron Paul's! My allies and comrades and I got to ask our questions to her in the flesh, and were more than satisfied and finally excited about politics again. We've looked into it our way, and I hope you can check it out and see how much we can really do by combining forces if we can agree with this track-record. Please check out her website, www.runcynthiarun.org or browse her videos on YouTube. It's not too late to swiftly turn around this disappointing result in the executive political realm!

    Albert Arnold Gore Jr

You missed Jeff in great action today. He marched in a parade up 5th Avenue
saying to tens of thousands of parade watchers

    Albert Arnold Gore Jr
    • Thank you, Mr. Gore, if that is in fact you. First of all, since you don't have friends yet I"m guessing you're new, so what are you doing one of your first few posts in the College Experience tribe? Tapping into young voters? And why are you running? There was a whole campaign to draft you to run when it mattered and I was pretty sure you had refused, or at least ignored them. I'm excited about the HBO movie Recount also, but I don't think you have much of a right to tout it. I know at the time no one knew how important the issues of disenfranchisement were to become in our country and you were therefore crunched into a corner, yet you still haven't denounced your decision knowing what we know now about taking the easier way out and pretty much being complicit in George W taking office. I don't know how much better a job you would've done with our general corporate contracts and economy, but I"m pretty sure we wouldn't have gone into Iraq needlessly or been plundered into the current recession with you in the Oval Office and that's enough. Yet what good do you think you can do by running now? If you don't denounce your decision of 2000, you're no less a fluff pawn than the others. At least with your work on Inconvenient Truth forums you were reaching for a higher goal of humanity, dropping out now to run will only derail that unless you show the world outright why GW should have NEVER been in office in the first place!

Looks like we now have THREE disappointing non-establishment candidates as it stands. Ron Paul's apparently still "in it to win it" even though there's NO more Republican contests, leading otherwise revolutionary supporters on to only prove they can be just as stubborn and uncompromising as the system. Not to mention he may lose his most valuable asset left: the congressional seat he was so good at holding the line in. Nader is still "going strong" in this demeaning FIFTH run, saying great stuff against the two-party system in general but not one goddamn thing to show why he is at all capable of dismantling it. Who's left that's not far-reaching or already locked into lobbyists' (even non-energy ones) pockets?! Once again, Cynthia McKinney, first African-American congresswoman in Georgia and the true patriot that risked her livelihood to ask the first real questions about 9/11. She is going to beat Nader, look at the Green delegate counts here:
      www.gp.org/2008-electio...ote-Count.php
And let's hope for all our sakes that her face gets fully nationally recognized as the only viable outside candidate and ends the ridiculous race issues vs. sex (and, no, not the same as gender) issues to show that ALL issues matter as much and the people are taking this country back!!
