I've still got FOUR MORE YEARS!
Only two more years of coursework, and then my dissertation starts.

I live next to my school, but I hate night classes. Graduate classes are all 6:30--10 pm. Doesn't that just suck?
I have to go to work now--I'm teaching English in an after school program now. yay me. -

Thu, September 15, 2005 - 9:37 PMI work with children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. The older, the better. I worked with three kids today--K, 2nd, and 3rd grade, and it took every ounce of my patience to keep from wacking the 5 year old with a folding chair. He needed some ritalin with a valium chaser. God help me, bring on the high school kids!
Tomorrow night I am scheduled to work with a high school senior for 2 hours developing his composition skills for the writing portion of the SAT. That will be a vacation after today. -

I'm a TA for college kids and I can't imagine teaching anyone younger.
I think I would lose it. My hats off to anyone who can do it!! Yay for Varuca! :-)
